Choosing the right secondary school for your son or daughter is a big decision. It’s a decision we all want to get right, to ensure your child, our student, is happy and content at school, so they can achieve and be the best they can be. We believe the best way for families to discover more about student life at The Ebbsfleet Academy is to invite parents, carers and children to sample our educational offering.
We want to encourage families to come along to one of our Open Events, so you can get a feel for our academy, meet with our students, teachers and support staff too.
It’s important for everyone to explore and discover what The Ebbsfleet Academy has to offer in order to make an informed decision for your child’s next step.
Once registered for a place, a few days before each event, you will be invited via email to attend an online academy presentation, where you will hear from Ms Gurjit Kaur Shergill, Principal of the Ebbsfleet Academy.

Today is World Suicide Prevention Day. For people who are feeling vulnerable or distressed, having a strong sense of connection is an important part of suicide prevention. Being distracted from suicidal thoughts and engaging in activities to take time away from the difficulties can also help to lift the mood for those with suicidal thoughts at whatever level or intensity. For those of us not feeling distressed, being able to make connections with someone we think may be struggling, to give someone the opportunity to share with us how they are feeling, can really help. Covid-19 has affected us all in different ways and brought new or increased challenges for many. We hope that exploring connection on this World Suicide Prevention Day will help us all think about how we can reach out and offer connection, helping ourselves and others who may be struggling. Gurjit Kaur Shergill, Principal said "Today I am asking our community to remember that it's OK to not be OK. We all have difficult days. The Ebbsfleet Academy is a family and being aware of those around us is important. A simple small act of kindness can often make all the difference to someone's day" #WSPD2020 #simpleactofkindness #someonecares
With all students returning to school this September, the Pinnacle team providing The Ebbsfleet Academy with facilities management services have been working hard to make sure that our 700+ pupils can return safely to school to resume their studies. In fact, the school never fully closed last term, and around 10 students continued to attend the Academy throughout the lockdown, with their parents supporting the region as Key Workers. Pinnacle quickly responded to the emerging COVID-19 outbreak by bringing additional COVID-secure cleaning of frequent touch points such as toilets, door handles and light switches and handrails. Gurjit Kaur Shergill. Principle at The Ebbsfleet Academy: "I must take a moment to stop, reflect and applaud the tremendous effort, patience and resilience shown by the Pinnacle Team who have gone above and beyond to ensure that we are ready to welcome our students back safely after being away from our school gates for over 100 days! Nothing has been too much trouble for the team and the word 'no' just does seem to exist in their vocabulary. I am humbled by the team's efforts and I thank them for everything they do each and every day." #teameffort
