Our ambition is to ensure all our students achieve their potential & develop as courteous, confident and capable young people. Our curriculum is supported by fantastic learning resources with modern & generously equipped classrooms, ICT facilities, workshops and laboratories. Working together, in partnership with our stakeholders, especially parents and carers, we are creating a dynamic and innovative learning institution.
The chicks we hatched are now 6 weeks old. Look how much the lucky ones to get forever homes with staff have grown!
Yesterday we enjoyed our first Academy Day of the year. Students and Staff enjoyed a day away from our normal studies to explore and discuss self-development subjects. Students discussed keeping safe, online and in the community. We were joined by St Giles Trust who shared real life experiences and highlighted to our students the importance of making wise decisions. Our Year 7 students started their First Aid training and were already very knowledgeable in how to help others in emergencies. The University of Kent spoke to our Year 9 students about their upcoming Options and methods to help make a good choice. Construction Youth Trust spent some time with our Year 10's exploring jobs that are available locally. They were joined by Alex Vaughan from Tideway who spoke about their engineering & environmental projects that they have locally. EA6 enjoyed the day learning about work experience and researching opportunities that they can explore in the next stage of their learning journey. While our Year 11's had taster sessions of all the subjects on offer for when they join us in EA6. Today, students in Years 7 – 10 competed in Maths does Countdown. It was a very competitive competition with Scott being victorious. Congratulations Scott House!
