The Ebbsfleet Academy Community Cook Book

#Dishupanewdish and celebrate the power of cooking, which is helping us to keep connected to one another.

We are all now living in unusual times, different to what we know, but this has led to great and positive things too.  Many have discovered the power of cooking and eating together, building connections and strengthening the family bond.

 Family Recipe Appeal

To celebrate the power of cooking the academy has launched a ‘Family Recipe Appeal’ to bring together stories of cooking and family recipes from within our community.

Our aim is to showcase over 50 delicious recipes from our community in a cook book.  The cook book will also feature favourite recipes cooked by academy students in their food technology classes.  To launch our ‘Family Recipe Appeal’ Ms Gurjit Shergill, Principal of The Ebbsfleet Academy has shared her story and family’s favourite recipe.

All profits from the sales of The Ebbsfleet Academy Community Cook Book will be donated to two local charities Mary’s Child and Slide Away.

Do share your recipes

The sharing of recipes, family stories and cooking knowledge is a great way to help each other.  By sharing a recipe, whether savoury or sweet, you can inspire more families to enjoy cooking together.

You are invited to share as many recipes as you would like. To share a recipe click here and begin building your page in The Ebbsfleet Community Cook Book.

Cooking is a fun and relaxing activity, even more so if you get the whole family together to make a delicious dish you all enjoy.  We look forward reading about your family’s favourite dish and trying out a new recipe to #dishupanewdish.  The last opportunity for you to share a recipe is Friday 5 June 2020.

Thank you for sharing and supporting our community cook book, it's a great compliment knowing that very soon other families will be cooking and enjoying your favourite family dish.
