October COVID Update
Please view the latest letter from our Principal below.
As we move towards the final week of this first term of the academic year, I want to thank you all for your support in the most challenging of times.
Our students have returned to The Ebbsfleet Academy with renewed passion for learning and have adapted well to our new ways of working. We have worked tirelessly throughout the term to keep everyone safe whilst maintaining the highest possible standards of education for our students.
Next week is the autumn holiday (Monday 19th October until Friday 30th October). There will be no students in school except selected Year 11, and Year 13 students who have been invited to attend GCSE and A level intervention classes. Our first day back after the autumn holiday is Monday 2nd November.
In order to conduct staff training at the beginning of the day we are asking students to arrive 20 minutes later at 8.50am instead of 8.30am. Students will then have an extended tutor time before starting lessons in period 2. Week beginning 2nd November will be a Week B timetable.
We will continue to follow the government guidance with regards to handling suspected cases within school. Parents are asked to inform the school immediately if a student is tested for COVID-19, as a result of being symptomatic, or living in a house with someone with symptoms. Additionally, if your child has travelled abroad during the holidays we ask that you advise us.
I thank you for your continued support and if you have any queries please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01322 623100.
Please take care and stay safe.
Ms Gurjit Kaur Shergill
