The Ebbsfleet Academy Governance

The Academy Council is the foundation stone of the system of governance operating across Brook Learning Trust and has replaced the Local Governing Body. All three academies in the Trust have Academy Councils and councillors’ advocacy and monitoring roles are replicated across each.

     Each councillor role listed above has its own remit.  A brief description of each role is published on the ‘About           Us/Our Governance’ pages of the academy website:

     Councillors also monitor progress made in respect of the key priorities identified in the Academy Improvement         Plan.  The priorities are summarised as follows:

 

1:  Maintain and improve attainment and progress in English and maths

2:  Improve progress and attainment in science, MFL and humanities at GCSE

3:  Embed the classroom habits and routines

4:  Further improve the quality of teaching and learning

5:  Admissions of students into Year 12 and Year 7, and retention in Years 10 and 13

6: Retain teaching and support staff
