International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Significant activity is witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women's achievements or rally for women's equality. "Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world" is the theme for this year's Women's Day. It highlights how women can be equal partners in decision-making processes, especially those regarding policy making. As a school we will be finding out about inequality between male and female, in particular how this has been exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic and how we can challenge this. Ms Gurjit Kaur Shergill, Principal at the Academy said "My daily inspiration is that in future there will be no female leaders, there will just be leaders" #IWD2021 #IWD2021
