Academic Curriculum (for September 2020 onwards)
The EA6 curriculum comprises a blend of A-levels and level three vocational qualifications, enabling students to select subjects to suit both their interests and their aspirations.
The curriculum is designed to include a high number of ‘facilitating subjects’ which are the subjects that the top universities most frequently require in order for students to study with them.
The subjects we offer have been chosen to support a wide range of potential future careers, so that whether you want to be a doctor or a designer, an architect or an accountant, an engineer or an entrepreneur, we have the courses for you.
|A Levels||Vocational Qualifications|
|Art and Design||English Literature||LIBF Finance|
|Biology||History||AQA Extended Project|
At EA6 we know that having good grades isn’t enough; we want you to leave us with good character, self-confidence and a clear sense of direction. To this end, we provide a comprehensive pastoral programme, which every week includes:
- Service – an opportunity to give something back to our community, with students currently involved in activities ranging from supporting Year 7s with their reading, to helping out in the school garden.
- EA Prospects – our careers programme which helps you to explore the full range of careers options and how to apply for them, with particular emphasis on applying to university.
- TEA Talks – A series of weekly one-off lectures on a range of topics that are designed to introduce you to some of the most interesting and important ideas from around the world.
- EPQ – a session each week to work on the ‘extended project qualification’ in which you will work on a meaningful project that will help you to develop the research and analytical skills that you will need to succeed at university.
