TEA Connect Guide

TEA Connect is the secure way to access the Academy Network.

The software will be provided by the IT department. Please contact the IT department if you require a copy of the software.

Installing TEA Connect

When you first run the software you might get a prompt to allow TEA Connect to make changes to your computer. Say Yes to this message. Once you run the installer you will see the following message:

Within 10 seconds you should see the following screen:

You can untick the relevant boxes if for you do not require desktop or start menu shortcuts. Then click the Install button. Depending on your computer this may take 20 to 30 seconds.

Using TEA Connect

When the software is run, there may be a prompt to allow TEA Connect to make changes to your computer. Choose the Yes option for this message.  The following screen will trhen appear:

To connect to the default server simply enter your username and password that is used to log into the computer at school and click the Connect button.

When the program is exited it will remember the computer name and your username, but not your password.

Connecting to an Assigned PC
This option is only used when instructed by the IT Department, it is not needed by default

If you have been instructed to connect to another PC by the IT department, please choose the Toggle Settings and Logs option. 

You will then see the screen below. You can then type in PC name in the text box at the bottom. When the program is exited it will remember the computer name and your username, but not your password.

Removing TEA Connect

From the main username and password screen click “Toggle settings and logs”. This will expand the window. Click the "Help" button at the bottom right. A window will then pop up. At the bottom of this window there will be an option to uninstall the program.
